Hello! New member here.....Came here looking for info on my favorite Boom box I purchased a Bell & Howell Sound Machine purchased new in 1973 with one of my first paychecks. Absolutely adored it...the sound was fantastic, the tape player was removable and it looked cool. Plus fit in a small space......Would LOVE to find another Thank you
Welcome to the forum! I love the look of those B&H's, the company was riding high on their consumer/school film projectors and had great name recognition. My Apple II+ was the Black Bell & Howell Model, I think it was rebranded to help Apple get into the school market. I was floored to see the retail price, they must have been impressive when new. Good luck, I'll PM you if I see one come up for sale, with my luck I'll find one locally this month.
I found this: https://museumofmagneticsoundrecording.org/ManufacturersBellandHowell.html Is it any of the pictures there? ...& then there's this old post: https://stereo2go.com/forums/thread...e-what-boomboxes-might-have-looked-like.2251/
