    This is some site!
Recently stumbled upon my old tapes which prompted me to dig up my old analog gear.
I have a wm-dc2 being repaired and am tinkering with my very first portable, Toshiba KT-S1. Forgot how loud it was!

One thing that is clear is that I may have to work on stuff myself, possibly with help from others here....Not easy to find people to work on walkmen anymore. If people have recommendations on repair shops in the US it would be great!

Welcome to the site. Yeh repairing stuff yourself is the best, and usually only, way to go :)

Welcome. There is a thread with reputable repair specialists in each country so have a look at that. As Northerner says, a lot of us have learnt to do our own repairs as it is not always easy to track down someone to conduct repairs.
