Hi, i have 2 Walkman with the same problem. A WM-EX500 and a EX505 (I think the difference is only Dolby) I bought both from Ebay. The 505 had corrosion from a leaking battery, the 500 just a little bit. Both are cleaned, but they don´t turn on. 1,5V is OK, 2,5V is OK. The Tape Switches are bridged, Hold is off. I can´t see any damages or corrosion from leaking caps. A connected remote gets power too, at least the hold is flashing if i switch it on(on the remote).
