Hello, I'm Kawawete, a SysAdmin. I recently got into the hobby by collecting old drum'n'bass tapes. Why old d'n'B tapes ? 'cause it represents the good'ol times and a sound that I never heard in recent days of the scene. I bought myself a WM-EX 508 but the thing just won't go after a new belt has been installed, so I hope that this community will be able to advise me on what to do with my two left hands
Welcome. Rediscovering a cassette I made of a broadcast of an LTJ Bukem concert that I actually went to in 1996 (Cream, Liverpool) was my inspiration for getting back into tape. Happy days.
Chasing old music is in style these days, but even the word style has been changed to "core," so in core these days! I just read the word has been changed in Vogue so it must be true. I think I'd die of boredoom hanging around with all of the fashion folks, too much group think on the coasts. Interestingly older music is selling much more than new music, as a concert lover it breaks my heart that the talent seems to be drying up but my favorite bands from the 80's can no longer put on a good beer-drinking show, they're all staged productions now, rehearsed to perfection and kind of boring. Catch the bands when you can, the 90's guys are starting to also get old and then the talent pool really starts to dry up.
