Dear all I just purchased a Teac TN-400BT turntable and was thinking of backing up my vinyls using Sony D6C or Marantz PMD430 using a 2xRCA cable (out) from turntable to tape recorder stereo 3.5mm (in). Just wondering if it is worth the effort as I am thinking of getting the tape recorder next and hope to get some valuable advice. Reason for these two models was primarily the portability and size. connecting your record player to cassette recorder is better than what i do I connect a Pro-ject turntable to computer through USB and copy the vinyls to hard drive. Then i copy the digital file through a DAC to Marantz PM430. This way i can better manage files that i like to copy on a cassette. The way is easier to make selections/ choosing different songs to copy on same cassette. But you get better quality by connecting the turntable to cassette player directly
