    Greetings, all!

I've been away from here for a while - lots going on. Now things have slowed down to the point where I can breathe once again.

Anyway, I was given a few chances to play with a few cassette decks that goes to the JVC PC 55. (As some of you may recall, I had headaches with one a while back and asked for advice here.)

All of these had problems with the display (as most of them do after a time) and it set my creative thoughts to work. After much experimentation, I think I came up with a solution that will bring the display back to 100%. All five decks utilised this technique and after 60+ days, I am told they are still fully functional.

What's nice about this technique is that it requires no disassembly of the deck itself except for removal of the three screws in the back and the two on both sides. No real technical prowess is needed; only a little bit of patience.

I'll post this in a few days along with a few pictures.

Let us know, the display on a lot of electronics from the 80's tend to go bad.
