Hello from New York: long time fan of the cassette medium since getting my first portable in the late 1970s! After a long digital hiatus, have recently got into restoring a few Sony decks and been pretty astonished that my shoeboxes full of 25+ year old cassettes still (mostly) sound so good. Been bringing some portables up to speed, and my holy grail is to be able to just tape an album from vinyl and listen to it on the go. These things used to be simple! Appreciate all of the knowledge shared on here and the enthusiasm for this format.
