Is this player any good? Or, good for a modern player?

GPO cassette player seems to go out of stock frequently, but there are no reviews online other than a few 1 stars for the entire company, which might be enough for me to steer away from it

Unfortunately most of the new players look to mostly entry-level for someone that needs to play a cassette or just can't find a working player. GPO came out with a killer looking boombox a couple years ago but the reviews have been less than stellar, these companies go East, pick and choose electronics, then get a case designed and pump out new players, the problem is it's mostly entry-level products that could never compete with the high end of the 80's-90's.

Just to play cassettes they'll be fine but if you want to experience cassette culture and the reason it still is popular 40 years later, I'd try to find something more substanial but it won't be new.
