After 10 years of owning this radio, I am finally happy with the appearance. The speaker grills were always dented and were an eye sore. I found a set online and painted them. Then I took the radio apart last weekend and replaced them. The mechanical aspect of the radio was covered a while ago. My ability to repair radios far exceeds my ability to improve the looks. Most of my problems were simply finding the parts. Especially for this box. I've done as much as I am able. It's s looking as good as I can get it but I am now happy with it now that the speaker grills are replaced. It's come a long way since I got it back in 2012
I would say that it came out well .... You have all the knobs and all the lights on ... (also seeing your gif) it is always satisfying to complete a job like this ... Excellent
Looks better over here, the pic seems bigger, great for a blind ol bugger like me, congrats once again my friend on a job well done....further on the conion m90 debate, if you had to choose only 1 out of the 2 which would it be???? i would choose the conion if she wasn't so big lol
Awesome job, looks like you took it out of the shop window back in the day, and put it in a time capsule!
Hmm. That is a tough one. I would say that it would come down to rarity. Silver C100Fs seem more plentiful and still decent in price. I would feel confident I could grab another and fix it up if I wanted so in this example: I would let my Silver C100F go before my M90 but.... The Gold C100F is a different story due to the possibility of never having an opportunity to own one again. The same could be true for the M90. Not because of rarity but the price folks are asking for them. Likely never get either one again this day and age. In this example: I would likely let my M90 go before the Gold Conion I hope to not be in that position anytime soon Thanks Brotha.
I've never seen or heard either, one of these days? I used to love the old detailing threads, I wish I had some time do more than change a belt once in a while.
That's the case with my victor m90 i guess, can't be many over here fully converted to run on our mains but sadly even then, i hardly ever use them
shame not to use an M90 .. if only the power supply is not complicated to solve it ... send it here and I promise you that it plays every day, along with my Aiwa who does the chorus
they work perfectly my friend but i'm kinda out of space i have so much which is kinda stupid as i can't use more than one thing at once
