Patience really does pay off! Been looking for a one of these small DD units for a long time, but it's always a either a missed deal or the seller just want too much. And all were the silver ones. So when someone put up for sale a blue one (!!) I just gotta go for it. Apparently it was pretty cheap too, just around $25. Quite bargain I think, especially for a blue one.

Admittedly, it's kinda rough in some places. Seller says it's off, but that turns out to be just a loose battery connection. Obviously needs a new gear tho', but I'm very happy.

This is the first time I seen the blue one for sale locally. I know I'ts quite rare, but how is it compared to the other colors? Silver seems to be the most common, but how does the other colors rank in rarity?

I’ve never seen one for sale. I often see black, silver and red. I think you can get green as well

Didn't somebody post the front page of the catalog, there was about six colors on it. I rarely get lucky with anything but standard colors and that's a great looking shade of blue, great find!

    Yeah. Here's another pic

I've always wondered why the colored ones don't sell as much as the silver/black ones... Personally, my order of favrorites would be blue, green, red, gold, silver, then black.

I guess many would be sold by Department Stores etc who wouldn't want to carry the full range.
As Henry Ford famously said " you can have any colour you like, as long as it's black".

Ah... The department store stuff makes sense. And I guess even with cars is the "neutral" colors that are more popular.

I think I'm very lucky indeed, and so it that friend of yours perhaps :wink2

Oh that's gorgeous, I just scored a silver one recently from Japan. That bad boy will get a new central gear at some point!
