My first true big boy in nearly 10 years

    Sharp gx300.
    Lovely machine.however the equaliser is duff.only the 16khz band works....slightly.but still,what a beautiful machine.had one years ago and it had the same problem.

    Nice boomer, it looks almost new, get some FaderLube and try cleaning up the EQ. I never have big issues with the EQs but they always need a good cleaning to get rid of the cracking.

    had several of these just gave one away a few months ago...the eq is a common problem, get some contact spray and actually flood the eq sliders with spray, last one took a whole can....work the sliders at least 100 times each and leave to dry for a couple of days

    also the speakers may need a re foam on this model, one of mine did

    Thank you for all the comments.speakers seem spot on RR,I'll give the equaliser a good deep clean in the usual manor with the contact spray.theres no crackling at all in there,theres just nothing.thanks for the kind comments
