So I just received a new deck for my collection, a Pioneer Ct-1270WR. Tape 2 will rewind and fast forward but when I press play it won’t turn the tape. The capstan rollers are working though. They don’t come into contact with the pinch rollers as well. Tape 1 works perfectly.
Edit: i took off the top to carefully take a look and started working, anyone know what’s going on with thing?
It's hard to tell without photos but since it's two decks maybe you can see if a parts missing? Maybe a spring to pull up the pinch roller? There could be some old belt gunk in there as well that's keeping everything from moving properly.
