I recently bought a working DD1 that worked but still needed some restoration. I need a new Dolby switch to solder to the board (broke the plastic switch part) and a battery lid that will fit. Not sure if the digital printed one for other DD models will fit.

Also looking for a replacement silver door assembly as well. I'd supply the Sony parts numbers but not sure that would be all that helpful.

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I've looked at the 3D printed battery cover that is sold on ebay and yours is clearly different from other DD models. The one on ebay has a round cutoff to accomodate the table reel, which the DD1 does not have. It's also located in a diferrent position and seems smaller.

The original Sony parts are long gone, the chances of you finding those are slim to none. The only thing that you can do is search for a generic switch on your local electronic component distribuitor and replace it with one that will fit both on the PCB and on the plastic slider on the case.

Unfortuntately there is little that can be done on units that have missing parts. I personally avoid them at all costs, exactly because finding those parts would be pretty much impossible nowadays. Your best chance of completely restoring it is buying another one that has oher problems and take the parts from that one.
