A couple of weeks ago I mentioned this price list from 1979 so here it is. According to the Bank of England multiply prices by 5 to get 2019 prices. The price list was with one of the £13.23 Multi-Chargers. I'm not sure what to do with it as the charge rate on AAs is about 60mA. Electric Cars were cheap back then though
None of these companies ever seemed to have a big footprint. The Everready Batteries I've posted seemed to be the dominate brand over here but I don't remember anybody using rechargeable batteries in the 80's. Going by memory I think it was something like $60 USD for a full set of rechargeable batteries (and charger) and $3.00 USD for a full set of D's. Even up until a few years ago, whenever I looked at the display they were pretty expensive but non-rechargeable batteries have really been creeping up in price.
