I'm a sucker for Pioneer Boomboxes, with the exception of my bigger one, they all have really nice build quality. The Sharp looks interesting, I can't believe how clean your boxes are, I need to step up my game.

I am too fussy it seems! Don't like missing knobs/switches, missing battery covers or damaged paint/trim! Everything else I can repair

Yep, it's sad when they're missing a button or two.

How do you make your boombox so clean and shiny? It looks like a brand new just came out of factory

Clean Clean Clean every time I use them! My friends say I am O.C.D. when it comes to cleaning & dusting my boxes! I love to clean them gently while they blast out the tunes!! & I NEVER tire of cleaning them! That Sharp GX-250 arrived in a real bad state, filthy dirty both speaker grilles pushed right in & a missing Dolby switch! I have hundreds of knobs & switch caps in a big transparent bucket & always save every type of likely spare parts, I hate throwing even write off's away but have to due to space etc!

I avoid pretty much anything with missing knobs/caps & a missing battery cover means no way do I want it!
Anyway, look how the Sharp turned out, the deck was a pile of black goo & motor seized
    :(
I know how to do these decks in my sleep - The rest took just one day to repair the grilles, find a Dolby switch & just clean over & over again - these models look really nice once sorted! Don't know how many of you remember: I paid £11.50 for the GX-250 :lollegs: :lollegs: :lollegs: It doesn't get much better than this!!
