Looking forward to a suggestions about printer for books, j-cards, labels for cassettes. What type of paper should I use? I think for normal paper laser printer with duplex would be ok, what about glossy paper? Thanks for help
I've bought HP 180g Brochure Paper in the past, it's slightly thicker than normal paper and has a medium glossy finish. Interestingly the paper is made in Germany, I'd love to hear the story on that. There's a few threads on here about j-cards, sizing, printer sizes, etc.
Do you want to do colour ? I have used a fairly standard inkjet printer for doing booklets. The advantage of a laser printer is that the prints won't smudge. A duplexer isn't essential. You can turn the paper yourself. Like @Mister X has already said the most important thing is quality paper. Photo paper probably isn't suitable as it is often one sided. I used 120gsm "Premium Paper" for booklets. If you only want a few doing and have a place locally it might be worth going into a print place (which usually have a Colour Copier) and discussing what your options are. Unless you intend doing hundred it will be cheaper than buying a Colour laser printer.
I think if I wanted some in colour I would print them in some comoany that does it. Buying colour laser printer is out of my budget I will look for some premium paper. Duplex is nice, I would use the printer for printing documents too. Thanks for suggestions
