Question about terminology

    Hello guys,
    One simple question for you english spoken people: if a disc jockey does what you expect in a party, with vinyls, what's the proper term for it? "That guy is jockeying discs"?

    "Deejay" (or "dj") is an abbreviation of disc jockey; it functions as a noun and a verb. For instance, "She is deejaying tonight."

    Another verb option is "spinning." For example, "I am spinning at Club Hugo tonight."
