I just saw Jack Russell's Great White in May, I couldn't believe how frail he looked. After getting help going up three stairs to the stage, he used his mic stand for support. I could tell something was really wrong, the band talked like it was his final show even though they mentioned a fall tour. I've seen these guys at least a dozen times, maybe more, including one or two shows before the big fire. After the fire they played a very small room here and only about 20 people showed up, they were beyond hammered and played one of their songs for over 20 minutes. Back in the 87 I was in my delivery van when news broke they were charting, I guess they were in an airplane when they heard and had a mini-party up there, getting in some trouble. They were one of the last 80's hair-metal bands that still charted with Can't Get Here From There in 1999. Some say he had substance abuse issues but outside of one show, they all were a very professional band every time I saw them.
