I came across this Aiwa Brochure in a box from a friend who gave me a Aiwa stereo tuner he did not want as he knew I collected this kind of stuff Here is a copy of it but it has no production date on it but I guess the systems in the brochure were made in about 1981
Very nice range of cabinetry and other mounting options. Wish I had friends like yours! For me this a timely post - I have just finished reassembling a full System 30 including speakers (new foam, thanks Good Hifi), the usual tape deck maintenance (IMHO one of the worst configurations to work on) and an original veneer-&-aluminium (for respected colleagues in the US that's the proper spelling of "aluminum") cabinet lightly restored with glue and clamps, including its original Perspex rear cover with engraved connection diagrams. Wondering if anyone ever bothered to acquire the proper Aiwa connection cables, like actual numbered parts.
Hooking the systems up can be half the battle, I spent forever trying to get mine working properly with the preamp, EQ, amp, etc....
