A few of my favourite Toshiba's from my collection, these are all in very nice condition and fully working. I have all their original cases/holders and the remote + headphones for the KT-4177. The KT-VS1 is boxed. I do quite like the look of early Toshibas, like the V670 series. Looks like they had Aiwa in their sights. Even on their cheaper models, they put a ton of buttons and labels on the front to make them look more "expensive" than they are. Not always the best mechanisms, but they have a lot of character!

Hi Dave, Managed to acquire a black KT-4076 on eBay. I am assured its 100% operational but if I do need to change the belt are there any complications with disassembly. Naturally I don't have a Tech Manual Cheers Brian
KT 4076 and its siblings are quite easy to take apart, no big hurdles if I remember. But watch out for a broken clutch with this mechanism.
Ah. That must be about the post referring to the "mechanism" on this model. According to the listing it is operating "flawlessly". Hopefully no issues. Amazing how you get them going and then something else breaks. Plastic components and leaking caps. are not always going to last 30+ years I guess. Cheers B
Nice collection! I'm currently selling a Toshiba KT-4141 on ebay. Only has sound through the right hand channel though. Perhaps someone with more expertise can get it working again?
