Hi, I've done almost a full restoration (except for recapping) a DD33 and after many, many problems, I'm finally down to one. When a cassette is installed, the rewind is very slow and will stop towards the end of a cassette. I've tested multiple batteries and cassettes, but the problem is elsewhere. When I take a feel at the torque on the reel, there's plenty of torque - like snapping tape off lots of torque, same with fast forwarding. Torque is not the problem, something else is creating drag. There's some, but very small drag on the take up reel when in rewind, but I can't say it's any different to other DD's I have laying around here. Any ideas? I will video the insides soon while in reverse. Here's what I've fixed so far; 1, New flywheel rubber 2, New pinch roller 3, New center gear 4, All rolling/bearing points lubed with Mobil DTE 5, All sliding points lubed with some special grease I have at hand 6, Slider/sled broken spring pin 7, Supply reel broken, glued to axle 8, Set motor amperage to ~110mA without a cassette on the flywheel adjuster 9, A few more small issues
