I was clearing out a cupboard in the downstairs toilet when i came across a box I had put there a year or twelve ago and in that box was the Z-555 which i could not locate ,So i am posting a couple of pictures of it running of the mains with. 9V connector. I bought it for parts and repair for £125 according to the price on the box and I sent it off to a sony engineer I know in London for repair which I think cost me £50 .It is stiill working and the sound is very nice indeed although i am not sure which is the best mode to use .At the minute it is on surround sound. I also found in the box 10 Sony DD in various colours which I recall I bought from a german Seller for I think it was. £90 , They were all working when I last tested them save one has a clicking sound as I put a note to this effect in its case .Quite a good find I am glad to say
I only find crap in my toilet but you scored! That thing is beautiful, thanks for the photos, can't wait to see the DD's next.
Meanwhile in Philip's safe there in nothing but Toilet Paper I have to say that with the twin illuminated LCDs that is the most upmarket Discman I have ever seen
