This is a pretty rare unit but two came up for sale at the same time and I grabbed one. It was a little dirty but these things are pretty hard to find and I love this style from Sony with it's square plastic body. I feel like this was right before these dictation units started getting rounded and the quality dropped. Some of you may feel that mono microcassettes just aren't cool but I have a few units that are extremely nice including the Olympus Pearlcorder R905 I posted in the microcassette thread that also has a snap on AM radio. I thought I'd fix the "cassette does not work" issue by replacing the belt and that went fairly easily although I don't know the belt size for this model and my box of belts is limited in the 2"-4" range. I think it takes a 3.5" belt but if anyone knows let me know. Changing the belt did the trick and I zippered it back up but then I noticed it was missing a reel sprocket, bummer but it gave me a chance to order another recorder for a few bucks to try to use it's sprocket. Other than that the motor turns and the radio works pretty good, I can tell from the switch it will need some Faderlube to cure some issues but otherwise a nice 80's cassette oddity.
