I bought this new looking player for almost nothing. I thought It needed a new belt and It did. I put a new belt it was slightly thicker than the old one but fit nicely. The problem was it had a second very small belt in it. The old belt was very lose but since I had no backup I just twisted the old belt to make it 2 times smaller and go with that. Anyway I cleaned the remains of the old biger belt. It works at 2.4cm speed nicely but it gets stuck at 1.2cm speed. I gave it a better lubricating but it made the 1.2cm speed worse (It did 2.4cm more slient tho)
Is there anything else I can do. Can I use it at 2.4 all the time.

It kinda works now but randomly stops at 1.2cm speed. I can record and play sound with 2.4cm setting so I don't care that. The smaller belt I mentioned was for the counter so It had nothing to do with the playback. I got a similar model, almost same recorder and it have the same problem when set to 1.2cm. But 2.4 works on that one too. New one records sound fast for no reason tho. I set the speed with potanciometer, playback is fine but when I play recorded tape it sounds fast like when you inhale helium. So the one on this thread got 2 problems. 1.2cm speed doesnt work and rewind doesnt work. What happens when I set to rewind is: Instead of turning to other roller (idk what its called) it just turnes backwards causing the tape to got out. On fast forward its fine. I dont know why the other roller doesnt turn to opposite direction. Instead lower one turnes But that is wrong. New one doesnt have that problem.
