    Hi Guys,
I had the chance to buy one recently (40€) but not in good condition.
I dissembled the top side to first clean and "try" to change the rollers. But I have two issues making me bad.

First reassembling there is a spring as show on picture below. Do you have a trick to put is back in place?

second question on same walkman. I would like to change the rollers but seems fixed to the metal support. I tried to push the central axe of the roller away, but no success... is there a method?

There's no trick to install that carriage spring apart from being patient and using a 90 degree tweezers. Another option is to glue the spring to the carriage, so one hook stays fixed.

About the pinch roller you need a tool similar to a punch to press the pin out. Note the pin needs to be pressed from the bottom, see picture.
But why do you want to replace the pinch rollers ? Do you have a high w&f or tape curling at the roller ? The roller visible in the picture looks good.
Keep in mind new rollers typically have eccentricity, while original ones don't. This is true for all rollers where just the rubber gets replaced.
Also, the roller hubs tend to shrink on these models, so it's possible the new rubber won't stay firm on the old hub.
If the hubs are shrinked, only solution is to buy a complete assembly: https://www.ebay.com/itm/125756456667

Is it just a 501 or is it a f501? 17188365721674355858427924525083.jpg I'm just saying as I have this one model with the plastic case and all the accessories to go to it with the plastic case. Here it is with the cover off and kind of angled so you can see most of the Walkman. Of course it needs a belt replaced in it.
