Sony WM-D6C, it plays faster when I don't turn on the speed control. Once the speed control is on, and speed is setup to neutral, the middle of fast and slow, it plays just find. Is it the belt problem? Or is there anything that I can adjust play speed inside the case?

    Thanks

Lucky you that its D6C, not D6!! Its just one speed control chip gone bad. You will find the tips on how to fix it at tapeheads site.

Appreciated. Then I'll try to find some post here that can help me. You are from Malibu? Are there any good shops that can do some Walkman maintenance or parts around LA or maybe even Southern California?

I am new to Walkmans (my collection is mostly Discmans), hopefully my neighbor @Boodokhan will answer your question. I would guess that, as with Discmans, repair shops for Walkmans do not exist. From what I see here and at tapeheads.net, @Deb64 has the most experience with D6/D6C restoration. Even if you decide not to mail your D6C to the UK, you will end up buying a new "mute module" from him: CP301.
Two tapeheads.net members are "evident suspects": Pacific Stereo (in CA) and Skywavebe (IL) but I have no idea if they accept Walkmans for repair

    Hello neighbors
Pacific stereo doesn't repair walkmans. I approached him in the past and he is not into walkmans.
Unfortunately I haven't found anybody in LA who is interested/ willing to repair walkmans. God bless @Sergi and @mihokm who help me with my walkmans.
Very interesting to see another neighbor member.
