Strange tape issue with Kenwood CP - M7

Anyone ever come across a player only playing certain cassette tapes ?

This one only likes certain ones , acts if there is no tape inserted on some tapes others play no issues every time..

then it is just bad switch/tape detector

 

Looks that way bit of plastic missing !! thought it was strange how my Maddona tape played every time but others didn't ..
