This thing has sold several times over the last few hours, I used to travel this area and would love to run into this dirtbag. The name MiKox should have given it away.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Na...=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
"ebay.com" is blocked at my work so i use ebay.ca, I searched for it and found 2 one in Israel and one in Russia (none fully functional) You mentioned this item was sold several times in few hours, Is there any specific seller who has a huge lot of this item???
The listing was finally pulled, the seller was MiKox, (my cox), it was $85.00 BIN. These Nagras usually go for big money and it was kind of late, luckily I checked completed sales and saw a bunch were sold in a short period of time throwing up big red flags.
I wonder what exactly such sellers are trying to achieve. PayPal would not release them, zero-feedback sellers, any funds until hear a positive feedback from the buyer. I played this game ~5 years ago (before settling onto Wadia 781i for SACD replay) with dCS P8i seller, that was a waste of time, thats it! Seller never received my winning bid of $2,5k, so my only explanation for such offerings is that some newbies do not know how eBay/PayPal works.
Two other ebay things to watch out for. Stolen accounts. That actually happened to mine when I had about 800 positive feedback. Luckily I was sat at the computer checking emails when one came in saying my password had been changed. I guess I had clicked on a dodgy link earlier that morning. A phone call to ebay who reset my password sorted the problem before any harm was done. In terms of purchases, I once spent about £25 on an out of print DVD from someone with low feedback and received a poorly made copy. No good outcome to that. The seller sold a load then closed their account. Ebay wanted Me to obtain evidence from professional DVD experts to confirm it was fake before they would consider a refund. Not woth it for £25. The only time I have thrown a purchase in the bin. About two years later the DVD (Hazel O Connor's Breaking Glass" was re-released so I bought a legit copy. I did once get a refund from ebay for a DVD recorder that didn't turn up. The fact that the seller had no ptoof of posting was good enough for ebay. Looking back at their feedback I get the impression that they were genuine but didn't bother sending stuff out if it went for a bargain price.
Back when Ebay was young and you sent your money directly to the seller I bought some Pachinko Machines but never received them. If you didn't file a claim right away you were pretty much screwed, most people don't know that PayPal was set up as a way to safely pay for Ebay Transactions but initially it wasn't available. Fast forward 2-3 years and the machines showed up out of the blue, very odd......
