Unitech was a smaller manufacturer but had a decent line of equipment. You can find some of their info in the archeology threads and the newspaper ads. There were a ton of manufacturers that sometimes branded their equipment or sold it to other companies and they put their name on it. The Unitech Mini 1004AF might be the most famous example, a tiny boombox/walkman with pretty nice build quality but it's also branded other several other names. I think Unitech survived into the 2000's in the electronics industry but got bought up? I've looked at so many manufacturers over the last few months I can't keep them all straight.
