The big question was, which box should I take on my multi-state vacation weekend. I knew the plans were fluid and things could change at any time so I needed something dependable with an awesome tuner section.

My Sanyo M-9980K fit the bill perfectly, just the right size, although a little heavy with the batteries and a great sound to match it's size. It's antenna is about four and a half feet, pulling in a ton of stations.

Day 1, hitting the open water and enjoying the sunset after a long day of driving.

No problems here, most people hadn't seen one in years.

Still having fun on the island, here's some locals rocking out to the 80's weekend on the local station.

The times sure have changed, in the old days everyone had a radio on the beach, now you rarely see one and if you do it's usually a newer piece of crap.
