I am so late in this party but I got Panasonic RX-FW39L this week. It’s very important to me because when I was 15 years old, 30 years ago, my father bought it for birthday present. It was so cool and loud. I have lots of memories recording music from radioshows and listening all kind of music. Sadly it went broken and CDs and streaming replaced cassettes. It is fair to say I feel very nostalgic for those times and will start collecting cassettes and recording music of course. This one has line-in for CD-player but for the sake of curiosity I plugged my smartphone into this beauty and played some Sonic the Hedgehog using it as loudspeakers. So funny. Thanks for letting me told a story. By the way, I think L-version is european version or am I wrong?
More from me. I am from Finland and in my mid 40s. I have recently started to look after the olde days and found again the joy of vinyls, cassettes and why not film cameras. I am not hard hobbyist, just very curious about things of my teens and twenties. Hope you don’t mind :)

    Welcome to S2G, mate! :)

A RX-FW39L is a nice exmple from the very late 80s,
    I have a National RX-FW39, JDM. That's mine.

Congrats! That’s very nice looking box. Japanese ones are always bit cooler because controls are written in katakanas
