Hi guys, I'm having an issue with auto-reverse on my wm600 walkman. The player is not switching to the other side when hitting play again. The 600 model comes with an indicator light letting you know which side is currently playing, but regardless of the light switching, the same side still plays. Without a cassette, the mechanisms seem to move in the proper direction when testing auto reverse. Any idea what might be preventing it from properly switching? I also have a question regarding the pinch rollers on this model which I was told uses the same ones from a wm-701c player. On my wm600, one of the rollers came with a capstan imprint which is why I ordered a brand new pair. Although they were meant to be for this particular model, I noticed them being slightly larger than the original ones. Outer diameter of original: 7mm. New one: 7.1mm. I didn't think much of it until I installed them and saw them immediately coming in contact with the capstan without either of them being engaged (player was off). I played a cassette with the lid off in order to see the movement of the tape and here's what I noticed: During playback, the proper roller/capstan/reel moves BUT since the other capstan is moving in the opposite direction (which is normal due to belt path) and because its corresponding roller is making direct contact due its large size, I'm afraid this may be harming the tape in any way. I decided to put the old ones back and noticed the space between each roller and capstan being VERY small. This doesn't make too much sense since the pinch roller arm path (space for the arm to move) is greater than the space between those two. Why would they carry rollers with these dimensions? Boodokhan provided photos of his wm600 and it confirmed what I'm seeing on my player. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
