I stupidly left the clip washer lying on my worktop and cannot find it despite getting on my hand and knees and scouring the surrounding area. The clip washer is the plastic translucent (greenish?) one that sits at the top of the shaft holding the center gear (see attached photo). Is it possible to get a replacement? Or maybe someone has had success to DIY one? Thank you for your time.
What the heck, I found it Days after losing it, I was handling the partially disassembled walkman and then the washer reappeared on my worktop, directly below the walkman. It must have stuck to some part of the body, stayed there all along until today. Yesterday I looked carefully into every nook and cranny of the board and mechanism, but couldn't find it, yet it must have been somewhere in there! My apologies to anyone who spent time pondering my problem.
