Did you try to adjust the tension on the capstan wheel ? Also check for the greasy capstan rubber or motor pinion.

The 2 terminals on the right side of the head on your pic are ground and they can be soldered together - the "free" terminal on the 12 o clock on...

Yes I can practically make any part, as long it isn`t too small. (wall thickness > 0.7 mm). But of course I would need an original part to take...
I made this, it is a exact replacement for lost or broken battery door...
It looks like that the 2 tin levers which locks the buttons are dirty and they dont move freely. They can also be bend. Those are very precise...
Did you try to lube the motor bearings ?
Pretty sure that it is comptible ....

May I ask where did you get them ?
The DC2 has exactly the same mechanics as the rest of the DD series (except for DD9 DD11 and DD22), so don`t worry.
