Do understand them, such cars are for real enthusiasts with enough money to restore and maintain such a bimmer.
Real enthusiasts know and will look on the profit of reselling so a resto must be viable or it will never happen. I have a chance of restoring two classic Benz and one vw beetle but greek market speaking it will never happen because nobody understands here the money and time you invest just the end price of the restored car.
They are also the best value out there for us Mystic, I have extremely close-up experience with them.
That's good! Had I lived in the US I'd have maybe thought about 850 as a "weekend car", for my own pleasure in the first place not thinking much if I will be able to resell it one day with profit or not. You need to pay for small pleasures. For me it would be just fun not an investment, life's short.
Weekend car is also the American disgrace of car the Shelby Gt 500 (lovers can say what they want i just like the looks then all the problems start) but with yearly running costs of 30-35000 usd if you want it original and in mint condition i would not advise you to get one.and that is correction to drive only on weekends and events
Yep, and this bimmer was pretty expensive back in the day: "Debuting in September of 1989 at the International Autoshow in Frankfurt, the E31 850i came in at a price of roughly $100,000 USD, immediately making it one of the most expensive BMW ‘s ever produced at that point in time. Keeping in mind that was in 1989.." Today it would be about $187,ooo give or take - impressive.
I also do like her looks.. yearly running costs of 30-35000 usd - well yeah, you have to pay for "small" pleasures..
i am start thinking already of a close friend with a lotus every time he drives around in Athens he quits everything and visits his paint job pro and it happens everytime i do not know if i want to laugh or cry......
I am all terain so i do not have such worries.....damn i forgot to post a pic of my car with a ghettoblaster will do next time. This is also a weekend car it comes out terrorizes then back inside.
Calculations are not mine but official owner listings however i could do the job for maybe 20000-25000 a year with some hacks by my mechanics and paint job pro This is the lotus
