We have a good little crew on the forum, with all of the members it is surprising that more is not going on. Luckily everytime I think I've found my last newpaper or magazine, another one comes up! I wish I could find a source for Japanese Print, I am working on it, maybe we can have some cool stuff soon!

Found over on Twitter, the Pioneer Multiboy SK-7 for a staggering 59,800 Yen in 1979! Using a random online exchange, it was $273 USD adjusted to $1154 USD with inflation. I highly doubt it sold here for that much but who knows?

Pioneer at this times was extremely high quality, even the Centrex Line. This looks like the missing link, it's branded Centrex on the upper left side but also Pioneer in the main area. I don't know how their market went, I've got the slightly similar SK-21 and it's blinged out in gold, I bet the guys over at Marantz were having a fit when they saw the golden boomers.

One of my favorites, the RK-888, big, big money back then (around 1977)

Maybe 1980? My SK-61 is doing daily duty right now, great sounding box.

I had to add this gem from 1979, this is from a trade magazine aimed at dealers, it looks much larger in print.
