Walkman vs Digital

    So I did a little experiment of an old favourite song of mine.

    Here's the original wahtever I could find on YT:

    What is the source for the tape? The tape definately brightens it up.

    Vega was recorded on WM-D6C, Intoxicated on Nakamichi RX-202.

    Yes. Tape can sound better than digital playback when the digital device is compressed and or has poor dac / amp and so on. I have done a few little tests like that and tape was easily better than the .wav rip playback on, at least, a Olympus LS-11 recorder. Did not try with the QLS360 DAP which is all I have etc.,
